Precision Acrobatics (Liz & Ariel)

"Are you interested to learn more about the nuances of similar-sized partnerships? Does using technique over brute force strike a curious chord? If either or both of these is true, please join us in this daylong intensive exploring techniques to transform and advance your (mostly standing) acrobatics practice.”

Pre-Reqs:

two-high, thigh stand, 30s L-basing tuck sit, 10s low L-basing hand-to-hand, flyers 30s handstand (free or supported, with good form and ease), standing front support or tuck sit (something with base arms extended overhead supporting flyer)

VULNERABILITY IN ACTION

Justice Movement (Natalie & Danya)

As social justice leaders and Acro teachers we find ourselves craving more Acro spaces where we can show up authentically as we are, even if we aren’t feeling 100%. We want to create a place to be vulnerable and go deeper. To have impactful discussions where we merge our passions in life with our desire to move our bodies in community. We aim to create this space for all of you as a Justice Movement inspired FemPowered daylong.

Expect interactive learning experiences and exercises that will shift perceptions.

Let’s go beyond and be more than just the ‘performance’ of a fraction of ourselves - let’s be real and messy and more whole together.

Pre-reqs:

There are no ‘movement’ pre-reqs, however please come eager and willing to learn and unlearn, reflect, grow, and be compassionate with self and others. Be prepared to call in and be called in. Be ready to be brave, be real, or just be.

“Vulnerability is the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness, but it appears that it’s also the birthplace of joy, of creativity, of belonging, of love.”

- Brené Brown
